California BPPE Proposed Regulations May 2016
The California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) has sent out an e-mail broadcast announcing proposed regulations that “establish priorities for its inspections and other investigative resources to ensure that student protections are the highest priority.” School owners are encouraged to review and comment on the proposed regulations before they are fully implemented (see the comment submission deadline in the verbatim text below):
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education is proposing to take the action described at: http://www.bppe.ca.gov/lawsregs/priority_notice.pdf
This is for the Regulatory Package known as Prioritization of Complaints and Compliance Inspections.
A hearing regarding these proposed changes will be held on July 12, 2016, at the Department of Consumer Affairs, Hearing Room, 1625 N. Market Blvd., Sacramento, CA 95834, at 10am.
