The BPPE has announced that school owners and other stakeholders will have an opportunity to comment on new regulation proposals: Let your voice be heard! Here is the verbatim text of the BPPE’s e-mail notice:

The Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (Bureau) will be hosting a stakeholder meeting on Wednesday, March 9, 2016, at 1:30 pm in Sacramento. The meeting will cover several areas for upcoming regulation proposals. General subjects will include Application Processing, including a review of all the different application types as well as the materials required by the application; and Minimum Operating Standards, to include distance education and administrative capabilities.

This is a public meeting and everyone is encouraged to attend. The intent is to gather input from the many various stakeholders through an open discussion of ideas, suggestions, and concerns regarding these particular areas. Through the involvement of all, the Bureau aspires to promulgate regulations which adequately and reasonably address the many concerns without being overly burdensome and onerous.
